‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Is Getting a Dramatic Reboot
The beloved 90s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is creating a spin-off show, and we have all the details.
The fan-favorite, comedy series ran on NBC for a total of six seasons in the 90s. More than 30 years later, the show is making its big comeback, although, it’s looking a little different than the original. In March of 2019, Morgan Cooper directed a fan-made trailer for his made-up show entitled Bel-Air. This trailer was a dramatic version of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The trailer was posted on YouTube, where it has quickly gone viral. More than a year later, the made-up trailer has racked up over 5 million views. Will Smith got word of this trailer and has decided to collaborate with Cooper to bring this show to life.
The show is currently being pitched to many different streaming platforms such as Netflix, HBO Max, and Peacock. With the viral trailer, the reboot is no doubt to be successful, and fans are already getting excited to relive the good old days with this upcoming new show.

Will Smith is set to be the executive producer and he will also be joined by the show’s original producers, including Andy Borowitz, Susan Borowitz, Quincy Jones and Benny Medina. While it is unknown when the spin-off will be available to watch, the original show is streaming on HBO Max to keep you occupied for the time being.
