Just under nine months after its debut, “Watermelon Sugar” hits the No. 1 spot on the Hot Billboard 100 charts.

The singer, songwriter, and actor, Harry Styles has claimed his spot as No. 1 for the first time on the Hot Billboard 100 charts with his song, “Watermelon Sugar.” The song originally made its debut almost nine months ago in November 2019. It originally peaked at the No. 7 spot on the charts.

During his solo career, Styles’ top-charting song was “Adore You,” which earned its place in the No. 4 spot in April 2017. During his time with former band, One Direction, their release of “Best Song Ever” scored them a No. 2 spot on the charts in August 2013.

Last week, Styles released the cassette and vinyl versions of his hit-song which included a digital download of the song. “Watermelon Sugar” was also reduced to 69 cents for purchase on all streaming platforms during this week.

On May 18 Harry Styles released the infamous “Watermelon Sugar” music video which has now amassed over 80 million views.

When the song was announced as No. 1, fans created two trending social media hashtags with #ProudOfHarry and #CongratulationsHarry.

Like the fans, we are incredibly excited to see Harry Styles reach this milestone and claim his spot as No. 1 on the Billboard charts. We cannot wait to see what his next accomplishment will be.
