RHOA star Porsha Williams was recently featured in The New York Times for her continuous efforts to combat racial injustice.

Williams has been vocal in getting justice for Breonna Taylor, a Black woman who was fatally shot by Louisville police officers back in March. Despite the case receiving a lot of media attention and celebrities demanding for the officers involved to be held accountable, no charges have been filed.

Williams has dedicated her time and sacrificed her career to speak out against police brutality and racial injustice by using her platform on social media and actively protesting in Atlanta and Lousiville. Williams was even arrested in Louisville last month for protesting in front of the Kentucky Attorney General’s home.

The article highlights Williams’ hopes to follow in her grandfather, Hosea Williams’, footsteps. Hosea Williams was an activist during the civil rights movement and played a key role in the many iconic peaceful protests and demonstrations that took place in Atlanta and other southern cities. He even walked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and was part of his inner circle.

After the passing of her grandfather, Williams and her family started Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless in Atlanta to help feed the needy in their community. The foundation has expanded to feeding those in need in multiple cities across the country.

Williams isn’t afraid to put everything she has on the line to fight for racial equality for all Black people. She feels that it’s her calling to walk in her purpose and create a better world for her daughter and the many generations to come.
