Lizzo Launched a New Sunglasses Collection With Quay to Empower Voters

Quay Australia

Lizzo released 15 new sunglasses in her second collaboration with Quay, pledging to donate $100,000 to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and the nonprofit Election Protection.

Lizzo launched her first sunglasses collection with Quay in May, partnering with the hunger relief organization Feeding America. You can read more about her first collaboration here. This new collection aims to encourage people to vote and includes a Speak Out face mask, which has the word “Vote” printed on the front. The sunglasses are priced starting at $55, and for a limited time, you can buy any pair of glasses and you will receive another pair free. Shop the collection here.

“I love how much fun this collection is,” said Lizzo in an interview with Quay. “The spring collection was very superstar, sexy, glam… but this feels rock n roll!”

Election Protection is a national, nonpartisan coalition that aims to protect and empower voters. The organization provides Americans with information and assistance at all stages of voting and documents problems to identify and remove barriers to voting.

“Voting is a big way to contribute and to feel like we’re making a change,” said Lizzo. “But the power of voting in midterm and local elections wasn’t something I was taught in school. I want to be part of informing future generations of our power.”

The NAACP Legal Defense Fund is a nonprofit that aims to achieve racial justice through litigation, advocacy, and public education.

“Representation is important to me,” said Lizzo. “It helps people feel seen. It celebrates diversity. The American people deserve to feel seen, and we deserve a government that reflects our beautiful, diverse country and ideals.”
