Christina Aguilera Releases the Music Video for ‘Loyal Brave True’ We Have Been Waiting For
After teasing fans on social media, Christina Aguilera has announced the release of the music video for “Loyal Brave True” from the Mulan live-action picture soundtrack.
Twenty-two years after being featured on the 1998 animated motion picture soundtrack for Mulan, Christina Aguilera releases a new music video for the 2020 live-action motion picture.
In a teaser post a few days before the release of her newest music video, Aguilera advised her fans to “stay tuned,” which immediately prompted fans to speculate about what the Grammy Award-winning artist had coming our way. As the news of Aguilera’s song for soundtrack became announced in March of this year, fans became curious and excited about how Aguilera would top her 1998 single, “Reflection,” from the animated Mulan film.

The success of “Reflection” jump-started Aguilera’s musical career, leading her to record her debut album, Christina Aguilera. She has recorded a total of seven albums throughout her musical career, garnering her one of the world’s best-selling musical artists. In commemoration of her success, Aguilera will re-release “Reflection” as we get closer to the release of Mulan.

“Loyal Brave True” was directed by Niki Caro, who also directed the Mulan remake. Caro delivers the imagery of vulnerability and strength from the film into the music video. With fierce dreamscapes in a crimson backdrop, Aguilera sings in an elegant gown with images of Yefei Lui, who portrays the titular character of the film.
After postponing the release original March release date, Disney announced Mulan will be available to stream starting Friday, September 4, on Disney+ for a fee of $29.99.
