HBO Max has announced a new documentary series inspired by a popular Twitter account, @OnePerfectShot.

The One Perfect Shot Twitter account and website aims to showcase impeccably filmed shots from movies and TV series. Their tweets typically have a GIF of the scene attached, along with a link to their article that explores details of creating the shots.

Filmmaker Ava DuVernay is set to be an executive producer on the series through her production company ARRAY Filmworks. In 2012, Ava DuVernay became the first black woman to win the directing award within the U.S. dramatic competition at the Sundance Film Festival with her film Middle of Nowhere. She will also be the narrator of the new series.

The owner of One Perfect Shot and Film School Rejects, Neil Miller, Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, and Lee Metzger will also be producing.

The new docuseries One Perfect Shot will have 30-minute episodes, each featuring a different memorable cinematic scene. Audience members will be able to see the creation of these shots broken down and be learning about a whole new world as the director of the scene shows the state of the art technology and the many steps it takes to create one memorable scene.

This series will surely be inspiring to filmmakers, directors, and creatives alike as they are immersed in the behind the scenes life of TV and film. Be sure to follow @OnePerfectShot to keep up to date on the project.
