The ’90s Is Making a Comeback in the Form of a Much-Anticipated ‘Clueless’ Reboot

Paramount Pictures

Pull your plaid Co-ords out the wardrobe and get ready for a trip down memory lane: Clueless is finally getting a reboot.

There have been rumors of a potential film revision for several months but Variety has finally confirmed that there’ll be a reboot of the film, with Peacock studios landing the rights to production. The original was released in 1995 and subsequently catapulted Alicia Silverstone (aka Cher) to fame, becoming a cult classic in our movie rotas with its infamous catchphrases and quintessential outfits.

As the news broke, fans were quick to share their excitement at another foray into the 90s- but still have some questions about how the series will compare to the original. The full cast of this reboot has yet to be revealed, and fans wondered if any of the 90s cast will make an appearance. The original series starred Stacey Dash as Dionne, Paul Rudd as love interest Josh, as well as the late Brittany Murphy, who sadly passed away in 2009. What is known at the moment is that Dash will reprise her role as Dionne. She’ll be the focus of this story as we follow Cher’s right-hand woman as she tries to navigate high school without Cher (who’s disappeared under mysterious circumstances).
