Billie Eilish Performs Her New Song ‘My Future’ at the Democratic Convention

Eighteen-year-old music sensation and Grammy Award-winning singer, Billie Eilish, performs at the 2020 Democratic Convention.
Billie Eilish performed on August 19, day three of the convention. She was one of many artists to perform at the Democratic Convention, along with John Legend, Leon Bridges, Billy Porter, Jennifer Hudson, Prince Royce, along with many others.

Eilish performed her new song, “My Future” along with her singer-songwriting brother, Finneas. The new song was released and charted at number one on July 30, 2020. This was Eilish’s first live performance of “My Future,” and the crowd loved every minute of it.
Before her performance, Eilish also took the opportunity to give a speech about the upcoming election. Through this platform, Eilish was able to make a connection to her fans who may be voting in the 2020 election. This will be the first time the singer will be able to vote. She voiced her support for democratic runner Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, Biden’s running mate.
Eilish had much to say about our duty as a country in regards to President Trump, climate change, COVID-19, and systemic racism in America. She made sure to express the importance of registering and voting in the upcoming election. Candidate Joe Biden took to Twitter to show support for the singer’s speech saying, “I’ll just say what @billieeilish said: vote like your life depends on it.”
