‘This Is Us’ Will Tackle the Coronavirus Pandemic in Upcoming Season

The upcoming season of This Is Us plans on reflecting the events of the current coronavirus pandemic.

The show displays two storylines, one from the past and one from the present. The creator of the acclaimed series, Dan Fogelman, confirmed season five would address the topical coronavirus. Unfortunately, another effect of the coronavirus is the uncertainty about when the Pearson family will return to our television screens, but figures crossed it will be shortly.

Since the fourth season left the viewers with a bunch of unanswered questions in the finale, Fogleman gives us the puzzling idea of ‘rebirth.’ Even though this is vague, it leaves plenty of room for fans to come up with their theories about possible outcomes and gives you the gift of using your imagination. All we can assume is that something unexpected and climactic will occur that will create some type of new beginning.

Despite the addition of the topic of the coronavirus, Fogelman has assured the viewers that it will not affect the intended storyline and everything has been untouched. There will be the “Same planned ending. Same route to get there.”

The show has always remained truthful and true to the audience. They never fail to address things in a very real and authentic way so including what is happening in the real world is no surprise. This unexpected pandemic has resulted in an unexpected addition to the beloved show, as it did in reality, but if anyone can handle the addition, it will the writers from This Is Us.
