BTS Makes YouTube History With New Music Video ‘Dynamite’
The Korean boy band, BTS, has recently broken a huge YouTube record by gaining 10 million views in 20 minutes.
Fans have been building up for the premiere of the band’s new single “Dynamite.” The song’s music video premiered last night, August 21, and YouTube was instantly hit with hundreds of thousands of views. In very little time, the video managed to break a massive YouTube record by piling up 10 million views in just 20 minutes. With less than 24 hours in, that number continues to grow, as the video currently has 58 million views.

This is not the only YouTube record BTS has managed to break today. The band also broke YouTube’s premier record, which was previously held by the Korean girl band, BLACKPINK, which premiered at over 1 million views, while “Dynamite” has premiered at around 3 or 4 million concurrent viewers at once.
BTS also holds other YouTube records, their song “Boy with Luv” holds second place for the Most Views in 24 hours with 74.6 million views, closely behind BLACKPINK, who holds the record with 82.4 million views. The band’s song “DNA” holds the record for the most comments on a music video, breaking the previous record held by Psy’s “Gangnam Style” video.
