This song focuses on the good and the hope that we could bring to the world if we all worked together as a loving community. The powerful lyrics serve a timeless message.

“Save the Day” is a collaboration with American singer and rapper Lauryn Hill. A couple of her most well-known songs include “Doo Wop” and “Ex-Factor.”

Her new album will feature the final drafts of many pieces that she had started to work on over the years. In an interview with Good Morning America, she explains the idea behind The Rarities, “I found stuff in my vault that I had either started to work on a long time ago and never released or that I wanted to finish mixing. They’re songs that have previously not been released. It’s exciting and it’s a monumental occasion for my career.”

Earlier this month, Carey released a never before seen music video for her song “Anytime You Need a Friend” (Soul Convention Remix). This soulful ballad was first released in 1993.

Her new album will be released on October 2. Until then, keep up with her on her socials and pre-order her new album. You can also pre-order her upcoming book “The Meaning of Mariah Carey,” which is set to release September 29.
