A New Romantic Comedy ‘The Making Of’ Starring Lin Manuel Miranda, Blake Lively, and More in the Works
A new romantic comedy called The Making Of starring Lin-Manuel Miranda, Blake Lively, Richard Gere, and Diane Keaton will be filmed soon.
Deadline has reported that Gere and Keaton are set to play husband and wife who are filmmakers. Lively and Miranda are cast as two actors who are to portray Gere and Keaton’s characters during their honeymoon phase of their marriage in an upcoming film. Essentially, it’s a movie within a movie, which will definitely make it interesting.

The new movie will be showed at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival in September. Filming is set to take place in the spring of 2021. Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz are set to produce the film through their company, Bedford Falls in addition to writing the script. Zwick is also set to direct the movie.
Miranda is known for starring in the musicals Hamilton and In the Heights, while Blake starred in the hit CW show Gossip Girl as well as movies The Shallows and A Simple Favor. Gere is known for starring in classic romantic comedies including Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, and An Officer and a Gentleman, while Keaton is famous for being in iconic girl’s night movies such as The First Wives Club and Annie Hall.

Lively and Gere, ironically, live in the same area in suburban New York. Coincidentally, the two neighbors will be seeing a lot more of each other as they shoot this new movie next spring.
With this incredible cast and the interesting plot, this is definitely a film that will exceed all expectations. We can’t wait for its release.
