ABC announces Season 16 of The Bachelorette will have its premiere date this fall.

The official Instagram account for the show recently uploaded this promotional photo to their page, announcing the start date of Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette.

Many fans of the show are trying to decode a potential underlying meaning of this photo, wondering if there is an importance of the leg coming from off-screen. It is believed that the image could be a reference to the 1967 film The Graduate since its movie poster looks very similar.

This season has not even been televised yet, but it has already proven to be a dramatic one. The show had to face changes and challenges from the very beginning, starting with the delay of filming due to the COVID-19 virus. Even once production started rolling, quarantines of cast members were enforced and their filming location changed from the famous Bachelor mansion in Los Angeles, to a resort in Palm Springs.

Aside from these new changes to the season, it has been reported by E! News that Clare Crawley finds love sooner than anticipated upon meeting her guys and decides to leave the show within the first two weeks of filming. After this, we are expecting to see former Bachelor contestant Tayshia Adams step in to finish out the historical season. You can read more about the potential replacement here.

In the year 2020, the ordinary is far from expected and so anything could happen during this upcoming season. The upcoming season of The Bachelorette will have its two-hour premiere on October 13, 8 PM ET.
