Doja Cat Made Her MTV VMAs Debut at the 2020 Show, Performing Her Hit Songs ‘Say So’ and ‘Like That’
Doja Cat owned the stage with her first-ever VMAs performance.
Channeling her intergalactic side, Doja Cat turned heads in her all pink sparkly full bodysuit with light-up accents. She jumpstarted her performance with her hit song “Say So,” a song she told MTV earlier this year that is about waiting for someone you’re into to make the first move.
Although it was hard to take your eyes off of her glowing bodysuit, the stage transformed into planet hot pink where her backup dancers, who resembled aliens, also wore metallic suits and masks of course. As they performed in another galaxy, Doja Cat flawlessly transitioned from singing “Say So” to another one of her hits “Like That.”
Fans absolutely loved the performance and took to Twitter to express how impressed they were.

The 24-year-old singer-songwriter was nominated for four awards at last night’s VMAs which include: “Song of the Year,” “Best Direction,” “PUSH Best New Artist,” and “Song of the Summer.” Doja ended up taking home the award for “PUSH Best New Artist.” She accepted her well deserved award in awe while giving a very gratifying speech. Doja Cat also did a quick outfit change before receiving her award. She switched her slicked-back wavy hair for a dark long braid which grazed her ankles and stayed on the pink sparkly theme by changing into a fun plunging tasseled mini dress.
While accepting her award, she reminded others to stay safe during these uncertain times and thanked her mom.
Congratulations Doja Cat on your first-ever VMA performance as well as earning the “PUSH Best New Artist” award, you deserve it. We cannot wait to see what else Doja Cat has planned for the future.
