These artists were two of many that gave us an awesome performance during this year’s unique MTV VMAs. Hosted by Keke Palmer, the 2020 VMAs consisted of a lot of new changes amidst the COVID-19 virus. Luckily, an entertaining night still was had despite the limitations.

Released last fall, the ballad ‘If the World Was Ending’ has become a very meaningful and relatable piece to many during the difficult times 2020 has brought. The lyrics of the song represent a hoping for a past relationship that would be rekindled if the world came crashing in, despite what may have transpired in the past. The hit, produced by Finneas, peaked at number five on the Billboard charts in March of this year when quarantine had just begun in the U.S.

Presented by Extra gum, JP Saxe and Julia Micheals performed their song on an incredible set. As they wander the empty street, greenery surrounding them, they come together and harmonize beautifully.

Michaels graced the set with a lovely light blue gown spotted with silver circles, while Saxe sported a dark blue suit.
