Listen to the New Rendition of ‘Reflection’ by Christina Aguilera for the New ‘Mulan’ Movie
The 1998 single “Reflection,” from the Mulan soundtrack, by Christina Aguilera has been reimagined.
Aguilera shared the new rendition of her memorable ballad “Reflection” along with a brand new music video. In the video, Aguilera is seen in a beautiful blue dress to match the rippling water around her. There are also some clips from the upcoming Mulan film shown.
She was excited to share this new version of the song with the world and spent some time reminiscing on her Twitter about the impact the original “Reflection” made on herself and her career. “Reflection” actually became Aguilera’s debut single, one year before releasing her popular song “Genie in a Bottle.”
I’m just as excited today as baby X was here 😆 So fresh and green and in awe of how my life had turned out. One day, one audition changed my life! @DisneysMulan Reflection is so meaningful to me. And it means even more to have created this new rendition, 21 years later… pic.twitter.com/I7GDMnvDzM

The wait for Disney’s new live-action version of Mulan has been increasingly longer than anticipated due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the closure of movie theaters. With the original premiere date set to be in March, it was then rescheduled to be released in July, and then in August, in hopes of having a traditional movie theater experience on it’s opening night. As of right now, it has been announced that Mulan will be available to watch for an additional fee on Disney+ beginning September 4.
