Beyonce Celebrates Her Birthday by Donating $1 Million in Funding To Black-Owned Businesses
Beyonce celebrates turning 39 in admirable style by announcing additional funding of $1 million dollars to help Black small businesses through her global organization.
September 4 is already a blessed day since it is the day our Queen Beyonce was born. But Beyonce’s birthday brought more blessings and from the Queen Bee herself.
Beyonce’s global campaign, BeyGOOD, which was founded by the megastar back in 2013, partnered with NAACP in July to launch the Black-owned Small Business Impact Fund. This organization is committed to supporting Black-owned small businesses that have been negatively impacted by the current events during COVID-19.

Love what Queen Bey and @BeyGood is doing for our community. Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs, but only receive .0006% of the venture capital pie! #investinblackwomen #SupportBlackBusinesses pic.twitter.com/AEOPZmZ4Pd

Fans are quick to be grateful for Beyonce’s heart and generosity. According to Billboard, Beyonce spoke out about the impact the Coronavirus pandemic has had on Black Americans during her appearance on the One World: Together at Home virtual concert back in April. “This virus is killing Black people at an alarmingly high rate here in America,” she told viewers, pointing out that Black Americans “disproportionately belong” to the workforce deemed essential workers.
Beyoncé was featured on Global Citizen’s live streamed event One World: Together at Home , where she used her time to thank essential workers and to discuss how people of color are affected by COVID-19 in much larger numbers around the country: https://t.co/QGHlMRfpJm pic.twitter.com/o8l6KZ4j3j
