Harry Styles Joins Cast of ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ With Florence Pugh
Singer and former One Direction member Harry Styles joins the cast of Olivia Wilde’s film Don’t Worry, Darling.
Since his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s film Dunkirk, Styles has been touring and releasing music as a solo act. Three years later, he is returning to the screen and his fans are thrilled. Styles is set to replace actor Shia LeBeouf (who left the project due to scheduling issues) in the psychological thriller Don’t Worry, Darling alongside Chris Pine, Olivia Wilde, Dakota Johnson, and Florence Pugh. The film is set in an isolated utopian society in the desert in California in the 1950s and features a screenplay written by Katie Silberman (writer of Booksmart and Isn’t It Romantic). The film follows a housewife who discovers an eerie truth about the world she lives in.

The upcoming movie is set to begin production in the fall through the company New Line, which bought the film in August 2019. Wilde is also serving as a producer. Producers from Vertigo Entertainment, Roy Lee, and Miri Yoon. Wilde will act as the film’s director. She made her directorial debut in Silberman’s comedic film, Booksmart, starring Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Denver.
Before the global pandemic, Styles was about to go on a worldwide concert tour for his 2019 album Fine Line, featuring hit songs such as “Watermelon Sugar,” “Adore You,” “Canyon Moon,” “Sunflower Vol. 6,” “Falling,” and “To Be So Lonely.” The tour dates have been rescheduled for the summer of 2021.
In addition to his music and film ventures, Styles has been in headlines recently for voicing his support for the Black Lives Matter Movement and calling for an end to police brutality and racism. He recently took part in a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest in LA alongside other celebrities.

In joining this film’s cast, Styles has been trending on social media and in the headlines once again. As an actor, Styles is represented by CAA and Full Stop Management. Alongside this star-studded cast, this new psychological thriller is sure to be successful in the box offices.
