Gabrielle Union recently revealed a Bring It On sequel could soon be in the works in an interview with James Corden.

You probably remember the hit cheerleading movie Bring It On that first aired in 2000, setting the stage for many other iconic spin-offs. The film introduced us to the world of the Toro cheerleading squad from Rancho Carne High School and their rival team the Clovers, from East Compton, both fighting for the national champion title. Fans were captivated by the choreography, rivalry, fierce competition, and drama it brought. The film sparked a cheerleading sensation amongst its viewers and set the stage for other cheer films such as Bring It OnAgain, All or Nothing, In It to Win It and Fight to the Finish.

Gabrielle Union who played Isis, the Clovers team captain recently confirmed her and co-star Kirsten Dunst who starred as Torrance, are ready to start making a follow-up film as E! News recently revealed. The cast did a public panel a few weeks ago when they were first asked about it. Union later was featured on The Late Show with James Corden where the possible sequel was brought up again in the interview. She confessed, the stars seemed to be in unity and agreed they were “all in” during the panel.

Corden even pried further to ask if the sequel was “absolutely, genuinely going to happen”, and Union responded, “absolutely, it’s absolutely going to happen”. She added, Netflix’s hit series, Cheer inspired the possible follow-up film as it brought back the fascination and obsession with the cheer world. You can watch the full interview below to hear for yourself as Union makes our childhood dreams come true by confirming the sequel.

Fans seemed more than happy about the news on twitter.

Some even expressed how they not only want but need the sequel in their life.

We hope there is more news to come about the sequel soon until then we’ll keep our spirit fingers crossed that we get to see some of our favorite stars reunite.
