Last year, the show business phenomenon Drew Barrymore announced she will launching her very own day time talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show. The show is a total of one hour and focuses on bringing information, inspiration, and entertainment to the daytime audience this fall. Barrymore aims to share her relatable point of view in this new and unique, multi-topic format.

Barrymore will elevate, inspire, and entertain with segments that reflect her personal passions such as upbeat news, heartwarming human-interest stories, compelling lifestyle segments, celebrity guest interviews, and collective experiences for viewers.

Barrymore has been very popular in the film industry for movie hits such as 50 First Dates, Never Been Kissed, E.T., and Charlie’s Angels. With Covid-19 in the way of the premiere on September 14, Barrymore did not even consider postponing her first appearance. Instead, she saw this as a new opportunity.

According to Variety, before getting into the works of her new talk show, Barrymore’s friends and colleagues made sure she knew how competitive the talk show business is. There are a lot of other celebrity talk show hosts she may have to compete with and this pandemic has made things a bit more challenging. Barrymore and her team worked to figure out a way to make entertainment in new ways and to talk to the guest through our new world of zoom.

The guests for this week include Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, Adam Sandler, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Eichner, Jane Fonda, Gabrielle Union, Christian Siriano, Charlize Theron, Tyra Banks, and Billy Porter.

The Making of The Drew Barrymore Show part one also premieres at 1 PM EST today. In this docuseries, Barrymore takes viewers behind the scenes and shares an honest, raw, and emotional look at the making of her daytime show shining a light on this extraordinary journey during an unprecedented time.

The one-hour nationally syndicated daytime show is produced and distributed by CBS Television Distribution and filmed in New York City. Barrymore, Chris Miller, Ember Truesdell, and Jason Kurtz are executive producers.

The show will have virtual audiences that force the producers of the show to get creative with how they go about things; giving the audience a collective experience. As Variety says, producers will fill the audience up with mothers who have the opportunity to be pulled into the front, where they will be interacting with Drew Barrymore on topics about parenthood.

Teasing fans, Barrymore released a promo video to get us excited. In the video, the actress is seen interviewing her seven-year-old self. The clip was from her 1982 appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. This was the perfect way for the audience to see, Barrymore is made for this new role of talk show host.

The Drew Barrymore Show premiered today at 9 AM EST. Check your local listings and be sure to tune in to the show’s amazing premiere week.
