London-born singer Freya Ridings has gained popularity in her home country of England over the past few years, and her name is now traveling across the pond to the states as she continues her journey to stardom.
Ridings first made her mark with her hit single “Lost Without You,” which landed in the top ten of the U.K. Singles Chart after appearing on the hit reality show Love Island. Two years later, the folk singer released her self-titled debut album, which reached the third spot on the U.K. albums chart.
It was her hit single “Castles” from her debut album that helped Ridings gain fame internationally, and she’s now adjusting to the worldwide recognition. Ridings is enjoying her success after being nominated for Best Female Solo Artist at this year’s BRIT Awards, one of the U.K.’s biggest music award shows. Just years prior, she was just a student herself at the BRIT School.
Everything seems to be coming full circle for Ridings as she finds her place in the music world. With over 5 million monthly Spotify listeners, she already has a solid fanbase, and it’s only expanding as they grow eager to hear what else she has in store.
