Netflix puts fans in the holiday spirit with a first look for The Christmas Chronicles 2.

Following The Christmas Chronicles released in 2018, Netlfix has decided to produce a sequel with returning cast members Kurt Russell as Santa Claus and Goldie Hawn as Mrs. Claus. Netflix also welcomes back Judah Lewis, who starred in Netflix’s The Babysitter: Killer Queen, as Teddy Pierce, while Darby Camp comes back as Kate Pierce.

The trailer unveils that the sequel to the 2018 film will be released on Netflix on November 25 of this year. This allows fans time to watch the first film and then surround themselves with Christmas cheer with the second before Christmas rolls around.

While Clay Kaytis directed the first movie, Chris Columbus, producer of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone as well as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, will take on the sequel. Columbus also wrote the script alongside Matt Lieberman, who wrote for the first movie in 2018.

In the first movie, we watched Kate and Teddy Pierce sneak onto Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve, only for it to crash moments later. The two siblings work together with Santa and his elves to deliver all the presents to the good boys and girls before Christmas morning.

Kate, who is now a teenager, will return in the second movie and reunite with Santa Claus unexpectedly. They will also encounter a mysterious troublemaker who threatens to cancel Christmas forever.

Fans are especially excited to see Russell and Hawn on the screen together again. Their natural chemistry is what powers the Christmas spirit into the Netflix film. With Santa being down to earth and Mrs. Claus bringing joy and cheer, there is no doubt that this sequel will be just as good as the first.

So mark your calendars for November 25 for a movie that is sure to blow you away and put a smile on your face as you prepare for the holiday season.
