Jaden Smith, Prince William, and More Set To Speak at Ted’s Countdown Global Launch
TED is hosting their Countdown Global Launch, which will center around climate change, and it’ll feature prominent speakers like Jaden Smith and Prince William.
TED’s Countdown Global Launch is approaching, and its speaker lineup has just been announced. The purpose of the event is to bring awareness to the growing issue of climate change and take the initiative to cut greenhouse emissions in half by 2030.
TED is known for its TED Talks, events where key speakers from different professional backgrounds lead talks on various topics ranging from race and politics to science and art. Climate change has been a major topic in their talks, with the most famous one being Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg’s back in 2018.
Unsurprisingly, TED has brought out some well-known names for their Countdown Global Launch who have been vocal in the fight for a better climate. The event will include a diverse speaker lineup featuring Jaden Smith, Prince William, Chris Hemsworth, Al Gore, and Mark Ruffalo. Other speakers include other entertainers along with various scientists, politicians, environmentalists, and entrepreneurs.

Smith has been very vocal in talks surrounding climate change since his teenage years, starting economically friendly JUST Water and aiding in providing a water filtration system in Flint, MI to help combat the Flint Water Crisis.
Fans are pleased with the lineup. Not only are they happy to see their favorite celebs joining in the fight to better our planet, but they’re also happy to see diversity and the representation of successful people of different racial and ethnic backgrounds.
