Kerry Washington won her first Emmy on Tuesday for producing Live in Front of a Studio Audience.

According to IMDb, Live in Front of a Studio Audience consisted of “live performances of classic holiday-themed episodes from Norman Lear’s hit shows ‘All in the Family’ and ‘Good Times.'” While Washington’s win wasn’t for the primetime Emmy’s she was nominated for in July, she took home the win for the 2020 Creative Arts Emmys.

During Tuesday’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards, the production won the award for Outstanding Variety Special (Live). The special achieved the win against the Oscars, 77th Golden Globe Awards, 73rd Tony Awards, and Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s halftime show performance.

Once the news was released, Washington celebrated the victory on her Instagram story.

“OMG,” Washington wrote. “So proud of @simpsonstreet and this incredible cast and crew.”

Washington’s production company titled Simpson Street was created in 2016. Washington has been nominated for four Emmy’s this year, including one for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her performance in Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere.

Washington took to Instagram to thank everyone for supporting the limited series as well as her other Emmy nominated projects.
