Gaga continued by telling interviewer Nolan Feeney about her thoughts regarding the Black Lives Matter Movement and stated“Social justice is not just literacy, it’s a lifestyle… Do I think there’s such a thing as performative activism? Yes. Do I think there’s been true activism that’s been very important and needed? Yes. Do I believe Black lives matter? Yes. Do I believe this is going to get louder? Yes. Do I believe it should? Yes.” The singer has been more active than ever on social media recently, as she has been promoting social justice causes.

Since the start of her career, Gaga has been a booming voice for those who need to be heard. She has been a long-time supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and is now voicing her adamant support for people of color. She also called to her fans to protest and give monetary support to Black Lives Matter charities and organizations that she supports on her Instagram.
