Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta released a new book called Channel Kindness on the importance of kindness.

The book features 51 stories of young people from all corners of the world. It focuses on the idea that goodwill and love make the world go round. Gaga is a singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and businesswoman and this book will add author to her long list of accomplishments.

“When I was younger and had mental issues, my mom didn’t know how to communicate with me about it,” Gaga told PEOPLE.

Gaga said that the book was a key factor in solidifying her relationship with her mother and made them stronger. They shared the hard times and tribulations they went through with others as a way for people to learn and relish in the lessons they’ve learned together.

Gaga and Germanotta co-founded the Born This Way Foundation back in 2012. Through this, they have connected with so many people. Their goal is to configure a generation and society that appreciates kindness and vulnerability on another level.

Their powerful cause laid the foundation for their book that is a culmination of hope that can inspire people on a local and global level.

It’s important to remember that even the little thing contributes to the kindness domino effect. This is just a daily reminder to do something kind every day. No matter how minuscule it may seem, a smile can go a long way and make someone’s day. You can purchase your copy of Channel Kindness here.
