Hallmark’s new holiday film The Christmas House will premiere on November 22.

Known for his role in Mean Girls, Jonathan Bennett will star in an upcoming Hallmark Christmas movie.

The Hallmark franchise is working hard towards creating more diverse and inclusive stories to tell during their annual “Countdown to Christmas” holiday movie marathon.

For example, one of their new movies The Christmas House will feature a storyline with a same-sex married couple. We will meet characters Brandon, played by Jonathan Bennett, and his husband Jake, played by Brad Harder, and watch the rollercoaster of emotions that come with their efforts towards adopting their first child.

In the film, Brandon’s parents decide to reunite the whole family for the holiday season in hopes of creating a memorable time together. We will also get to know Brandon’s brother Mike, who begins to reconnect with his high school sweetheart, Andi, during his visit home.

Hallmark aims to bring hope, warmth, and happiness through their movies this holiday season, as well as bring some positivity to the end of what was a challenging year for many people.

There is going to be 40 new holiday movies coming out on the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries this year. The films will begin airing on October 23, thus beginning the long-awaited countdown.
