Jaden Smith’s New Snapchat Series ‘The Solution Committee’ Aims To Address Race and Voting Among Young People
Jaden Smith’s new star-studded Snapchat series The Solution Committee will feature thoughtful discussions about serious issues affecting our community.
The first episode of The Solution Committee premiered today, and it featured Justin and Hailey Bieber. The episode focused on voting, and the Biebers encouraged young people to go out and exercise their right to vote this November.
The new series aims to get young people to have open and honest discussions about important issues that can sometimes be difficult and uncomfortable. Voting is just one of a series of topics that Smith will cover throughout the program.

Race is another major issue he plans to tackle, which is a fitting topic considering the racial tensions and injustices the country is currently facing. The series will feature other celebrities like Smith’s sister Willow, Bella Hadid, Yara Shahidi, and Common. It’s produced by Westbrook Media, which is led by Smith’s parents Will and Jada.

Climate change will be another topic of discussion, which Smith has been quite vocal about combating in recent years. He helped create a water filtration system to help the Flint Water Crisis, created an environmentally-friendly water company JUST water, and he is scheduled to speak at TED’s upcoming climate change awareness event TED’s Countdown Global Launch.
