‘Hocus Pocus’ Cast Will Reunite for Virtual Halloween Fundraiser
The Sanderson sisters are reuniting for a good cause just in time for Halloween.
On October 30, the stars of the classic Hocus Pocus, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, will virtually reunite as a fundraise for Midler’s nonprofit, the New York Restoration Project (NYRP).
Although details for the 74-year-old actress’s event is being kept under wraps, the name, “In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover,” has been shared. According to the website, it’s going to be “one of the hottest pandemic-safe Halloween events of the year.”
“Every year, the New York social calendar in October culminates with Midler’s annual ‘Hulaween’ costume gala, a star-studded fundraiser to benefit NYRP,” a statement said. “This year, due to COVID-19, the event will go virtual, welcoming fans of all ages around the world to attend.”
Virtual event tickets are priced at $10 and will benefit NYRP, an organization that Midler started back in 1995 to help with “creating more green space for underserved communities to grow their own food, connect, and access safe spaces directly in their neighborhood.”

To get ready for the October event, fans can shop online for a selection of merchandise and treats inspired by the film, including tote bags, t-shirts, and even a dead man’s toe scented candle.
Hocus Pocus is an iconic Halloween film about a group of witches who were accidentally conjured in Salem in modern-day, known as the Sanderson sisters. The witches maintain their youth by devouring the souls of young children, which they plan to do on Halloween night. Earlier this year, it was confirmed that the film will be getting a sequel on Disney+.
