A New Norah Jones Music Video for ‘Hurts to Be Alone’ Is Here
Singer-songwriter Norah Jones released a new music video this week that is sure to speak to your soul.
Jones is known for her beautifully played piano melodies, such as her single, “Don’t Know Why” from her debut album Come Away With Me which was released in 2002 and went on to win two Grammy awards.
A brand new music video has been recently released for her song “Hurts to Be Alone,” which is one of the new tracks off her latest album Pick Me Up Off The Floor. When creating the new music, she took a different and more vulnerable approach than she has in the past.

Directed by Jones herself, the new music video shows the artist roaming around a beautiful beach scene. The viewer will feel truly connected to Jones as she stares meaningfully in the camera, surrounded by simple illustrated animations.
The minimalistic video allows us to listen to the lyrics of the song, and they are ones that are sure to connect to many this year.
On October 16, an extended version of her latest album Pick Me Up Off The Floor will be released, and will include several covers that she made during the quarantine as well as an unreleased track called “Light Wind Blowing.”
Jones has also been announcing playlists that she has created of her songs, which are available to stream. Each playlist is around seven songs long and they each represent their different mood or vibe. Some titles include “Morning Jones,” “Kitchen Jones,” “Late Night Jones,” and “Classic Jones.”
