’13 Reasons Why’ Star Anne Winters Campaigns To Play Madonna in Biopic
Former 13 Reasons Why actress Anne Winters is campaigning to play Madonna in her upcoming biopic by recreating the singer’s iconic looks for Instagram.
On Monday, Winters’ posted a variety of different photos of her styled to look like the pop sensation. In her first post to the social media site, she recreated the look from Madonna’s hit music video ‘Like A Prayer,’ donning her classic black hair and red lipstick.
Winters captioned the look calling for fans to “blow up” Madonna’s Instagram. “I wanna play her in her new biopic,” Winters wrote. “I’ve been told I look like a young Madonna forever.”
The Emmy Award-winning actress has successfully impressed Madonna fans around the globe, and they have taken to Twitter to share their support of her possible casting.

Winters’ Instagram spamming even caught the attention of the singer herself, and Madonna rewarded her attempts with a follow.

Madonna is set to co-write and direct the biopic alongside Academy Award-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody. Fans have noticed that Madonna has also been following other potential actresses such as Florence Pugh (Little Women), Julie Garner (Ozark), and Haley Bennett (The Girl on the Train).
