Get ready to add a new hit to your playlists; U.K. singer Ella Mai is about to drop a brand new song this Friday.

Contemporary R&B singer known for her award-winning 2018 hits “Boo’d Up” and “Trip” is about to release a new single called “Not Another Love Song.”

Mai recently posted some new cover art on her Instagram, announcing her upcoming song “Not Another Love Song.” This song is produced by The Rascals, Jahaan Sweet, and Boi-1da, and written by Varren Wade and Mai herself. She thanks her fans for their patience as she has not released any new music since 2018.

The singer states that this new song is about “falling in love, but not wanting to admit it” (Essence).

The 25-year-old artist got her big break when her original music was discovered on social media by record producer Mustard. Soon after, Mai signed on to 10 Summers Records, which is Mustard’s record label as well as Interscope Records.

Her single “Boo’d Up” became super popular. The hit was nominated for Song of the Year and Best R&B Song at the Grammy awards and ending up sinning Best R&B Song in 2019. Additionally, Mai and her music have won several Billboard Music Awards as well as iHeart Radio Music Awards.

Mai’s highly anticipated new song “Not Another Love Song” will be released on October 2 and is now available for you to pre-save here. Also, be sure to keep a lookout for the singer in Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty Vol. 2 Show which is also dropping this Friday on Amazon Prime Video.
