Issa Rae Launches ‘Hoorae Media Company’ Empowering Culture in TV, Film, and Digital Projects
Issa Rae launched her media company Hoorae Media to organize all of her TV, film, and digital projects under one production company.
Rae is known for her iconic role in Insecure, for which she received eight Emmy nominations. In addition to the eight Emmy nominations, she also received one for her role as executive producer on A Black Lady Sketch Show. However, these are not the only successful media attributions Rae has made. Rae also launched her own record label named Raedio, in which she collaborated with Atlantic Records.
Now she is coming again with yet another major success; she has just launched her Hoorae Media consisting of her production ventures. Hoorae Media will be including her Tre Cnt and the Seen & Heard docuseries for HBO, as well as Rap Shit for HBO Max, and Perfect Strangers for Spyglass. In addition to this, HBO’s Insecure and A Black Lady Sketch Show will be featured as well.
Both her record company and management company will be under the same ‘Hoorae’ productions. According to Variety, Sara Rastogi, Hooraes Senior Vice President, stated that “Issa invests in people and has cultivated an empowering company culture that allows us to take big risks, challenge ourselves, and industry norms. I am excited to continue growing with the company, in short Hoorae!”
Rae has been making significant accomplishments since her first appearance on youtube in 2011. She is well known for her role as an actress and producer, but she has even opened a coffee shop in Inglewood, California, to promote productivity and provide better opportunities. It seems like Rae has way more than 24 hours in a day as she crushes her goals continuously without stopping.
