We finally have a trailer for Brenda Chapman’s new film Come Away.

Chapman, the director of Brave, has released the trailer for her new fantasy drama film Come Away. The film is written by Marissa Kate Goodhill with producers Leesa Kahn, Andrea Keir, Oyelowo, and James Spring.

The film has a unique take on the origin stories of Peter Pan and Alice from Alice in Wonderland. The movie is planned to be released on Friday, November 13. Come Away is Chapman’s first live-action; the director is best known for her animated films.

In this unique take, an eight-year-old Alice, her mischievous brother Peter, and their intelligent older brother David let their imaginations run wild in a joyous summer in the English countryside. Their parents, Jack (played by David Oyelowo) and Rose (played by Angelina Jolie), encourage their kid’s imagination, but when a tragedy strikes, they aren’t able to do so anymore.

Wanting to be a hero to his grief-stricken and financially-struggling parents, Peter travels with Alice to London with the goal of selling a treasured heirloom to C.J., a sinister pawnshop owner.

Staying true to their characters, Alice searches for temporary refuge in a wondrous rabbit hole after arriving back home and Peter looks to escape reality forever by venturing into a magical realm and becoming the leader of the “Lost Boys.”

With such an interesting take on these well known and loved characters, this movie will no doubt be the perfect mixture between fantasy and drama. Come Away will be released in both movie theaters and at home On Demand.
