A new documentary, The Supermodels will focus on some of the most famous models of the 90s including Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Christy Turlington.

When thinking of fashion, the most famed models that come to mind are the “original supermodels” from the 90s: Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, and Linda Evangelista. The upcoming documentary, The Supermodels will be showcasing the careers of these iconic models from the late 80s to the present.

The documentary is set to stream on Apple TV+, following the lives of the most well-known supermodels that served as some of the defining moments in fashion. As an article by Vogue puts it, the documentary will ” be a fashion feast of epic proportions, one that provides an intimate look into what it was like to be the most famous and well-dressed women in the world—and the stars of every runway imaginable from New York to Paris.”

The series will be directed by Barbara Kopple and be produced under Apple’s collaboration with Imagine Documentaries.

In an Instagram post by Turlington, she expresses her excitement about the film: “I am looking forward to looking back on this unprecedented time in fashion with these incredible women whom I have grown up with.” In Evangelista’s post, she stated, “I would love for people to see this as a celebration of not only our individual stories but also to the power of friendship, dreams and perseverance.”

We are excited to see the lives of these talented women and learn more about their careers. Be sure to stream the upcoming documentary on Apple TV+ when it gets released.
