Queen Naija and Lil Durk Release New Song, “Lie to Me”
Queen Naija recently released a new single, “Lie to Me,” featuring rapper Lil Durk.
Queen Naija is a 24-year-old American RnB singer from Detroit, Michigan. She is famous for hits such as “Medicine,” “Pack Life,” and “Want You.” The singer released a music video for a new hit song, “Lie to Me,” featuring rapper Lil Durk on October 5.
Lil Durk, who is featured on the song, is a 27-year-old rapper from Chicago, Illinois, best known for his songs “3 Headed Goat”, “When We Shot,” and “The Voice.”
This song will be featured in Queen Naija’s upcoming album, misunderstood, which will also feature some of her other hits such as “Pack Life.” The forthcoming album has been announced to come out on October 30.
According to Revolt’s article, the music video was “produced by Alex Niceforo, OAK, and Keith Sorrells. The track takes from DeBarge’s heavily-sampled classic “A Dream” and sees the two artists harmonizing about a more than toxic relationship.”
We can see the nature of the toxic relationship in the chorus lyrics itself, with Queen Naija harmoniously singing:
“Love me good and lie to me
Don’t want broken promises, don’t want apologies
I don’t wanna be the one complainin’
Long as you don’t see nobody that I hang with (Love me, love me good)
Yeah, love me good and lie to me
Don’t want broken promises, don’t want apologies
Long as you don’t see nobody that I hang with
They don’t understand our arrangement.”
