Director Adam McKay has added a star-studded lineup to his upcoming Netflix original film titled Don’t Look Up

Back in February, Netflix obtained the film that, at the time, had actress Jennifer Lawrence solely linked to the cast. Today, Netflix revealed the full cast, one that included the surprising reveal of singer Ariana Grande.

According to Deadline, Don’t Look Up is a comedy about “two low-level astronomers who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth.”

McKay is set to write, direct, and co-produce the project with Kevin Messick. The film will be produced under McKay’s production company, Hyperobject Industries Banner.

Lawrence and Grande are set to star alongside an A-list cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Himesh Patel, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry, Rob Morgan, and Tomer Sisley.

Scott Stuber, head of Netflix films, spoke to Deadline earlier this year about the movie. “Adam has always had great timing when it comes to making smart, relevant, and irreverent films that depict our culture,” Stuber said. “Even if he somehow ends up predicting planet Earth’s imminent demise, we’re excited to add this to our slate before it all comes to an end.”

Production for the film is scheduled to start by the end of the year, though no specific date has yet been revealed. We can’t wait to see this star-studded cast on the big screen together.
