Xochitl Gomez Joins Benedict Cumberbatch in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’
Xochitl Gomez has joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The actress, known for her role in Netflix’s The Baby-Sitters Club reboot, will join Benedict Cumberbatch in the Doctor Strange sequel. Gomez played Dawn Schafer in the Netflix series, which was based on Ann M. Martin’s popular book series with the same name. Her other work includes Roped, You’re the Worst, and Shadow Wolves.

The sequel has been delayed multiple times because of the current pandemic. As of now, it is scheduled to release on March 25, 2022. Cumberbatch will be appearing in Spider-Man 3, which is set to be currently be released on December 17, 2021. Sam Raimi will be directing, along with Michael Waldron.
Just looked up Xochitl Gomez since she was just signed onto Dr Strange, and I’m so happy it’s another Canadian kid that made it! Iman Vellani is Ms Marvel, and now Xochitl is in a Marvel movie. I’m so happy for these girls 🙂

Plot details and information about Gomez’s character are currently unknown, but we are so excited she is joining the cast and cannot wait to see all she brings to this exciting new film.
