CBS to Air ‘Every Vote Counts’ Special Hosted by Alicia Keys, America Ferrera, and Kerry Washington

CBS is reminding viewers that every vote counts by airing a special hosted by Alicia Keys, America Ferrera, and Kerry Washington.

The special, titled Every Vote Counts – A Celebration of Democracy, will feature appearances by many familiar faces, as well as performances by a variety of musical guests.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show is about “honoring and celebrating the power of voting through music, dance, and dialogue.”

The one-night event will include appearances from Chris Rock, Coldplay, Natalie Portman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kelly Clarkson, Amy Schumer, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, and more.

Keys is set to give a musical performance with a lineup consisting of the talents of Dan + Shay, Offset, Shawn Mendes, and more.

In a statement, Washington revealed her excitement to host the event alongside Keys and Ferrera, mentioning that she wants every voice to be heard in the upcoming election.

“I am thrilled to be joining my dear friends Alicia Keys and America Ferrera to host ‘Every Vote Counts’ so that we can amplify voters’ voices and provide resources for all Americans as they participate in our democratic process,” Washington said. “For our democracy to work, every American’s voice must be heard and every vote must be counted. We are so excited for this opportunity to celebrate democracy and our collective power when we all show up at the polls.”

The event will air live on CBS and the iHeartMedia app at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 29. It is also going to be live-streamed for viewers without cable television on YouTube, Apple Music, Twitch, Twitter, TIDAL, and Facebook services.
