Olivia Wilde’s highly-anticipated film, Don’t Worry Darling, has officially kicked off production in Los Angeles.

The film, which comes after Wilde’s directorial debut with the 2019 comedy Booksmart, is currently being kept under wraps. In a synopsis provided by IMDb, the film is described as “a psychological thriller centering on an unhappy housewife in the 1950s.”

Production news was first tipped off by a fan on Twitter who spotted stars Florence Pugh and Harry Styles hanging out together in LA.

Pugh and Styles make up just two roles of the star-studded cast, which also includes Chris Pine, KiKi Lane, and Gemma Chan. Nick Kroll, Douglas Smith, Sydney Chandler, Asif Ali, and Kate Berlant.

Pugh officially confirmed filming had commenced on her Instagram story Monday night, saying, “It’s the first day of shoot!” in the video captioned with “DWD let’s goooooo!”

On October 23, Wilde shared a picture of herself on set via her Instagram story, calling it the “happiest place.”

The film’s success has already started. Its official Twitter page, which published its first tweet on October 9, has already attracted fans with over 100,000 likes and almost 30,000 retweets. Its Instagram, which is currently bare, has amassed over 145k followers since its launch.

Last week, Styles was spotted on set decked in 1950’s attire and a newly obtained haircut, causing fans to react online to this first look at his character in the film.

A release date for the film has not yet been revealed. To keep up with production updates, follow Wilde on Instagram and Twitter.
