Taylor Swift Reminds Fans to Vote in Social Media Message

Instagram

On election eve, Taylor Swift took to social media to share a final message encouraging followers to cast their votes on Election Day.

In the 30 second clip, Swift reminded fans that today is the last day to cast their votes for the presidential election. Swift started the video by citing shared stress involving the election results but reminded fans she is feeling the same way.

“So, we are very stressed out about this election, rightfully so, I feel you,” Swift said.

Taking into account the various voter reminders given on social media and on television ads, the singer humorously referred to herself as the “one-millionth person” to encourage her followers to vote.

“Allow me to be the one-millionth person to remind you that tomorrow is your last chance to make your voice heard and to make your vote count,” Swift said. “So, if you haven’t voted yet, please do.”

In closing, Swift urged fans to stay safe during election day by wearing masks. “Stay safe, wear a mask, take care of yourselves,” Swift said. “I love you very much. Happy voting.”

Last month, Swift made headlines when she lent her song “Only The Young” to an emotional pro-Biden campaign ad.

On October 7, the singer officially endorsed Biden in a social media post before the live Vice Presidential Debate between California Senator Kamala Harris and Vice President Mike Pence.

We are glad that Swift is using her platform in order to urge fans to vote. To look up sample ballots, polling locations, and other voter information, visit www.vote.org.
