Netflix Unveils Trailer for Shonda Rhimes’ Period Romance ‘Bridgerton’
Netflix has revealed its first trailer for Shonda Rhimes’ new period romance series Bridgerton, and it is already keeping us on the edge of our seat.
Rhimes is best known as the creator, head writer, and executive producer of Grey’s Anatomy’s, the legendary medical drama series. She then embarked on the political thriller Scandal. So with this background, viewers at home are ready to see how Rhimes takes Julia Quinn’s novels and brings it to life on the screen.

During the Regency Era in England, the series will take place as eight close-knit siblings begin searching for love. However, they must be careful about what they do for Lady Whistledown will look for any scandal that may occur to publish on her gossip newsletter. The narrator warns, “Let it be known, if there’s a scandal, I shall uncover it… and share every last detail.”

The trailer opens with the characters discovering Lady Whistledown’s gossip newsletter. Julie Andrews’ voice narration as Lady Whistledown then breaks through. Throughout the shots, viewers observe the rest of the cast, including Phoebe Dynevor, Regé-Jean Page, Adjoa Andoh, Ruby Barker, Jonathan Bailey, and Golda Rosheuvel.
