Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter Ban Ex-Trump Aide, Steve Bannon, After His Violent Death Threats Against Dr. Fauci and FBI Director Christopher Wray in Recent Video
Steve Bannon who is known for his role as the chief strategist and senior counselor—for a time—to President Trump has now been banned from various social media platforms after his comments on Dr. Anthony Fauci and FBI Director Christopher Wray.
In an extremely disturbing and viral interview, Bannon stated that both Dr. Fauci and Wray should be beheaded. He included, “I’d put the heads on pikes. Right. I’d put them at the two corners of the White House as a warning to federal bureaucrats. You either get with the program or you are gone.”

This notion is clearly barbaric and extremely anti-democratic. According to CNN, the video was live for several hours before Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube removed it and banned the account the video originated from. This occurred due to the platform’s policies against inciting and glorifying violence.
Steve Bannon is banned from Twitter because he said he wants the good old days where kings murder anyone who dares to speak against power.

Make no mistake, the American far right is pulling for a dictatorship. #republicans, you must fight your radicals & take back your middle. pic.twitter.com/nkkeNfU6Xy
Bannon rose to the political conversation with his alt-right website Breitbart that allowed users a space to foster white nationalism and the alt-right extreme ideologies: white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and other extremist hate groups. He led Trump’s election campaign in 2016 and he helped Trump push forward on some of the most controversial actions in this presidency such as the “travel ban” on specific Middle Eastern countries and the removal of the United States from the Paris Agreement for Climate Change.
Thank you! We don’t need people making threats of violence against Fauci. FBI needs to get INVOLVDED – Charges need to be filed on Bannon. YouTube, Twitter and Facebook remove Steve Bannon video calling for violence against Fauci https://t.co/udmNfVtNqI

Bannon resigned from his various White House positions in the fall of 2017. He has most recently been in the news for fraud, pocketing donations he had acquired through a nonprofit organization, We Build the Wall. We are grateful that YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook have taken action against displaying this hateful video.
