Megan Thee Stallion released the track list for her debut album, Good News.

#GoodNewsMegan began trending immediately after the rapper posted the list on social media. The highly anticipated debut album comes after 3 EPs and a mixtape from herself, and fans have been eagerly awaiting her full-length work. The star has had a tumultuous year in the spotlight, and her supporters are looking forward to hearing Megan’s story, as well as witnessing the official start of what looks to be a long career in the rap game.

Fans of Megan Thee Stallion immediately began sharing their excitement for the album drop. There have been daily countdowns on fan pages across Instagram and Twitter. Knowing how much of a powerhouse Megan has been since she stepped on the scene back in 2017, hip-hop lovers are restless with anticipation for the 17-track compilation. In a new class of female rappers such as Kash Doll, Mulatto, and the City Girls, Megan Thee Stallion has taken the lead by captivating fans with her southern twang, dominant sex appeal, and top tier lyricism.

The tracklist is full of collaborations that listeners have been waiting for, such as rappers Da Baby on a song titled “Cry Baby” and a track named “Go Crazy” with Big Sean and 2 Chainz. The remix to her smash hit “Savage” featuring fellow Houston native Beyoncé, also made the album after peaking at number one on the Hot Billboard 100. According to social media, the feature most fans are looking forward to is the collaboration between Megan and soul singer SZA on “Freaky Girls.”

Many fans think Megan plans to address the recent altercation with rapper, Tory Lanez that took place back in July. Lanez has been charged with shooting Megan, although he denies these allegations. Since the incident, the two have gone back and forth through social media and now through music. Both those who side with Megan, and those who do not, are interested in the contents of the album’s opener “Shots Fired”, with many believing it will be a response to songs put out by Lanez in September.

This album will set the tone for the career that Megan Thee Stallion is embarking on in the rap industry, an industry known to be degrading and exclusionary towards women. Despite this, she has already established herself as a force to be reckoned with amongst the genre’s best women and men. Good News is set to be released on Friday, November 20, and can be pre-saved here.
