Netflix’s ‘Dash & Lily’ Provides Fans With Much-Needed Holiday Cheer
Netflix is seeking to bring some much-needed holiday cheer to the streaming world, and they have succeeded with the release of their newest Christmas themed series, Dash & Lily.
Dash & Lily, based on the popular novel Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn, is the holiday romance you probably didn’t realize you needed.
Starring Austin Abrams and Midori Francis, the series follows teenagers Dash and Lily who share dares through a journal passed through various locations across New York during Christmas time.
Dash, a self-proclaimed loner who enjoys critiquing bookstore employees on their incorrect shelvings, stumbles upon a red journal stuck in between a stack of books. Inside the journal is a variety of dares, leading him on a shared journey to find Christmas spirit on a holiday that he despises.
Lily, who plants the journal, is alone for the first time ever during the holiday season. In order to get her spirits up, she seeks company in a stranger she’s writing to.
