Jennifer Lopez’ AMA Performance is Strikingly Similar to Beyoncé’s
Singer, dancer, and actress Jennifer Lopez performed at the 2020 American Music Awards this past Sunday and fans noticed that her performance was strangely similar to Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love” performance in 2014.
For her “Pa’ Ti + Loney” performance with Colombian singer Maluma, Lopez wore a sleek black ensemble paired with her hair short and wet and as a result, looked every bit like Beyoncé did at Grammy Awards show six years ago.

Lopez also utilized a chair during part of her performance, which gave fans déjà vu and resulted in many people voicing their thoughts on social media.

The performance featuring bars and barely-there black ensembles also was quite reminiscent of the musical number “Cell Block Tango” from the iconic musical Chicago. Lopez and Maluma sang songs that will be featured in their upcoming romantic comedy Marry Me, which also stars Owen Wilson and is set to come out in Spring 2021.
Although fans enjoyed Lopez and Maluma’s fiery performance, many could not get over how much it reminded them of Beyoncé’s epic “Drunk in Love” performance.
Many fans cited on Twitter that although the chemistry between the two singers was entertaining, they couldn’t help but think of the Queen Bee.

We loved Lopez and Maluma’s performance at the AMAs and look forward to seeing their film Marry Me when it comes out in May 2021.
