The annual Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular Starring the Rockettes will air live on NBC this year and feature singers including John Legend and others.

Although the show will not have a live audience, the Christmas Spectacular will be nothing short of amazing this year. NBC will air the hour-long special on Wednesday, December 2, at 10 pm ET/PT, and Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb are set to host. The performance will star none other than the iconic Radio City Rockettes, and they will perform select numbers from the classic Christmas-themed show.

Alongside Legend, celebrities including Jenna Dewan (known for her work in Step Up), Whoopi Goldberg (known for her work in The Color Purple), Josh Groban (known for his work in Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812), Carla Hall (known for her work on The Chew), and Padma Lakshmi (known for her work on Top Chef) will give special messages during the show to viewers at home. The televised Christmas special will be produced by Alex Colletti Productions and supported by Madison Square Garden Entertainment.

This will be the first time the show will not be performed live since it’s annual run in 1933. The prerecorded performance will transport the audience from the North Pole to Central Park.

Although we are saddened that the show will not be taking place live with in-person audiences this year, we are excited to see the upcoming special and watch the Rockettes rock Christmas.
