Beyoncé Has the Most Grammy Nominations in 2021 Without Releasing an Album

Netflix/Parkwood Entertainment

Even though Beyoncé didn’t release an album in 2021, she has still accumulated nine Grammy nominations, making her the most nominated artist this year.

Throughout her career, including this year, Beyoncé has been nominated 79 times for a variety of Grammys and won 24 of them. This year her nomination made history as she became the most nominated female artist for the Grammys. She is currently tied with Paul McCartney and one behind Jay-Z, her husband, and Quincy Jones.

On Juneteenth she released her Black Lives Matter anthem called “Black Parade,” and teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion for a “Savage” remix. This year Beyoncé also released a Disney+ original film called Black Is King.

She was nominated for Record of the Year (“Black Parade”), Record of the Year (“Savage”) with Megan Thee Stallion, Song of the Year (“Black Parade”) as she co-wrote it, Best R&B Performance (“Black Parade”) as she co-wrote it, Best R&B Song (“Black Parade”), Best Rap Performance (“Savage”) with Megan Thee Stallion, Best Rap Song (“Savage)” with Megan Thee Stallion as she co-wrote it, Best Music Video (“Brown Skin Girl”) as she directed it, and Best Music Film (Black Is King) as she also directed it.

Even though Beyoncé didn’t release an album, she still kept herself busy and her fans satisfied this year. Over the years her hard work has paid off and these nominations and wins are a reflection of everything she deserves. We look forward to seeing everything that Beyoncé creates for us next year.
