Hailee Steinfeld Spotted Filming Marvel’s ‘Hawkeye’ and Is Rumored to Be Taking on the Role of Kate Bishop

For the last year, fans have been desperately seeking new information on all of Marvel’s newest shows being produced for Disney+. While two shows are nearing their final stages— WandaVision, which hits the streaming service in January, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier—other shows like Loki and Hawkeye have mostly had their details kept under wraps.

The Hawkeye show is rumored to revolve around Kate Bishop, a young girl that will be mentored by Renner’s character, Clint Barton. Speculation for the casting of Kate has been driving the internet crazy, but now with photos and videos of Steinfeld in her bangs, purple shirt, and archery bow, it seems that the series has found its’ Kate Bishop.

Only yesterday, the actress posted a cryptic image on her Instagram of a raven-haired woman with a purple headband. While the post could be in relation to her twenty-fourth birthday coming up in a few days, fans also think the color palette and the choice of using an archer bow symbol in the caption hint at her new role.
While Marvel hasn’t released anything official about the show yet or confirmation that Steinfeld will take on the role of Kate, fans have still been making guesses at how Kate will be involved in the story. The biggest theory is that she will eventually be a part of the Young Avengers, which is a collective of teen superheroes that were shaped by their mentors like Hawkeye and Black Widow.
