The 2020 Spotify Wrapped Playlists Are Finally Here
Spotify released a universal and personal nutshell of 2020 through statistics and playlists.
2020 was a hectic year from the pandemic to the election, but everyone’s love for music was unwavering. Spotify gave you something to look forward to and, for many, was a nostalgic reminder of the music that got you through the year. Spotify has now released their 2020 Wrapped, and we can’t get enough of it.
Bad Bunny was the most streamed artist. The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” was the most played song with 1.6 billion streams. The top three podcasts were Joe Rogan Experience, TED Talks Daily, and finally the New York Times The Daily. The best playlists for self-care were Confidence Boost, Your Favorite Coffeehouse, Songs to Sing in the Shower, and Just Smile. The most listened to a throw-back decade was 1980. The songs that soundtracked the Black Lives Matter movement were “This is America,” “I NEED YOU TO (BREONNA TAYLOR),” “BLACK PARADE”, “Alright,” and “The Bigger Picture.”

If you are a Spotify listener, you can check out your own Spotify wrapped on any mobile device. It includes a presentation of your top songs, artists, genres, and the number of minutes you spent listening to music. Aside from the statistics of 2020, Spotify provides a curated playlist containing your top 100 tracks.
Spotify wrapped acts as a reminder for the end of the year. Time and time again Spotify provides a time capsule of the year that you can look back for years to come.
